Dear Member of the GSE Architecture Working Group,

Dear Information Architect,

Dear Business Analytics Expert,

Organizing meetings for the GSE Architecture Working Group is both challenging and exciting. Why? Well it is challenging because it is a user group that has to cover a broad domain of experience and competencies. At the same time, this is also the most fantastic aspect of it: we are “allowed” to discuss an extended set of topics!

As such, we already covered two interesting Architectural Disciplines in 2013: we had a meeting around “Integration Architecture” covering Enterprise Service Bus solutions, and we organized a special day around “Security Architecture”.

And now it is time for an extremely hot topic in the area of “Information Architecture”: BIG DATA!

Again we have composed a very interesting agenda, with speakers of different backgrounds. This diversity will make it again very worthwhile to join us on 11 December 2013, in the facilities of ABIS Training and Consulting in Leuven. We are of course very grateful to ABIS for hosting our Big Data meeting!

As usual, you find all details in the attached agenda.

Sincerely Yours,

The Organizing Team,

  • Erik Ombelets, Chairman of the GSE Architecture Working Group
  • Hendrik De Smet, Secretary of the GSE Architecture Working Group
  • Eric Michiels, IBM Liaison of the GSE Architecture Working Group

ABIS Training and Consulting, Diestsevest 14 (2nd floor), 3000 Leuven (http://www.abis.be/)

Itinerary to ABIS:

If you come by car, you can make use of the Parking “De Bond”.

Be aware of the fact that part of the ring-way around Leuven is closed. No traffic is allowed on the Lüdenscheidsingel (between Mechelsepoort and Diestsevest). So coming from the E40 you have to take the exit Leuven and then take immediately exit 15 for the N264 (Koning Boudewijnlaan). When you arrive at the ring-way (R23), go right and follow the ring-way in counter-clockwise direction. Arriving near the train station, take the Oostertunnel, where you can park your car (“De Bond”).

It is also easy to take the train, as ABIS is just a 3 minute walk from the Leuven Railway Station
